Man Covered in Over 200 Tattoos Regrets His Ink—Now Undergoing Painful Removal
We’ve all made choices we later regretted—things we’ve said, actions we’ve taken, and decisions we wish we could undo. But for most of us, those regrets aren’t as permanent or visible as those of Ethan “ModBoy” Bramble, an Australian man who once took body modification to the extreme.

Ethan, who has over 200 tattoos covering his body, spent years undergoing radical procedures, including having his belly button removed, stretching his ears, and even splitting his tongue. His journey into body modifications began at just 11 years old when he stretched his earlobes for the first time. Over the years, his appearance became more extreme, and he eventually spent around $60,000 AUD (approximately $39,000 USD) to achieve his unique look.

However, Ethan has since admitted to feeling some regret about his choices, particularly the tattoos on his face. Speaking on LadBibleTV’s No Filter series, he shared, “I suppose you could say I regret some tattoos.”

A Change of Heart
Ethan explained that while he doesn’t necessarily hate his tattoos, he now wishes he had approached body modification differently. One of his biggest concerns is how people perceive him, especially in everyday situations—such as dropping off his young daughter at school.

“For some people, having tattoos on their face isn’t a big deal, but it can create a lot of challenges in life,” he admitted. “I probably wouldn’t want my daughter to have to deal with that kind of attention until she’s much older.”

In an effort to change his look, Ethan has been undergoing painful laser tattoo removal for the past year. The process is slow and requires multiple sessions. “I’ve gone over my face six or seven times already, but we do it in sections,” he revealed.

He also opened up about how his facial tattoos contributed to his struggles with anxiety. “It’s hard to pinpoint mental health issues, but I’d like to think that having a lot of tattoos on my face played a part in my anxiety.”

Despite the painful process, Ethan remains optimistic about his transformation. “I’m happy with how I look, but I also like knowing that my face tattoos will gradually fade over the next couple of years. I’m just cleaning the canvas.”

A Brave Transformation
Ethan’s story is a powerful reminder that our past decisions don’t have to define us forever. Changing something as permanent as tattoos—especially ones covering the face—takes courage, patience, and resilience.
